This afternoon, I was watching a French movie. The whole story of the movie, whose title was “Les Tribulations d’une caissière”, was about a young supermarket cashier, who was posting articles on a blog. This blog was causing a lot of troubles among the cashiers unions. The main topics she was dealing with were linked to the cashier’s occupation and the way the job is perceived or interacted with by everybody else.

I’ve been willing to write a blog for a very long time, but I was also wondering if I would be able to write anything of interest to the potential readers. After watching this movie, I realised that I was wrong all the way. I should really write whatever I think could be interesting or meaningful to me first and then maybe it would also mean something for somebody else.

So I decided to go for it and give it a try.

Then came the question of the language in which the blog should be written. Of course, as my mother tongue is french, it would have more natural to do so. However, I’ve decided to write the blog in English in order to have a broader reading potential… Only time will tell…

I don’t have any preconceived ideas yet of the topics which I will elaborate on. I intent my blog to more of a diary type than anything else for now… We will see how it develops.
